Description

Gain a comprehensive understanding of how to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes for autistic and ADHD students in higher education. Come away with a broad knowledge-base and evidence-based practical toolkit to work confidently with autistic and ADHD learners in all areas of higher education.

Autism and ADHD in Higher Education: Recognising and addressing the Barriers is our most in-depth training for professionals wanting to work in specialist roles alongside autistic or ADHD students in higher education in an NMH capacity. The course offers a comprehensive overview of current research, expert perspectives, and student voice content. In addition, the course provides frequent opportunities for participants to utilise their learning through scenario-based activities which are further reinforced in the live workshop.

Alongside the on-demand course materials, the live workshop allows participants to engage with the course trainers and other trainees to explore key aspects in a collaborative and interactive setting. The assignment, which can be submitted either as a short essay or video file, allows participants to further focus on a topic that has interested them.

Our aim in creating this course has been to build a course that will fully prepare participants for mentoring and study skills and strategy support roles, enabling them to bring confidence, expertise, and best practice to these professional roles.
